Everyone loves to travel. Visiting new places, experiencing new cultures, and embracing the differences in the world is amazing. It does not matter how far you go, it can be just the next town, city or fly halfway around the world to a different country altogether. No matter where you travel to, packing to me is always a hassle. To me I always over pack, as I never know what I need and when I need it. In order to have everything with me, I learn several packing tips that have made my traveling game on point. Not only packing tips, but also tricks that will make your travel much more smoothly. But, not anymore, with the help of packing cubes or bags. They are cheap packing bags that comes in various sizes, so you can use whatever size bag for any type of clothing or items you are bring on your trip. Trust me, once you separate your clothing items in there individual bags, you will find it so much easier when you want that pair of jeans, now you don't need to mess up everything else.

During the new year of 2017, I decided to take a trip to the other side of the world and experience the differences they have to offer. To make the most out of this trip, we decided to experience it through a road trip style. We rented a car and drove to all the areas that we wanted to see. Well, we did take a few flights from city to city or it will take months to visit them all. We started off in Sydney, Australia. In my mind Australia is always a sunshine filled place, with beautiful beaches and Koala hanging on all the palm trees. In parts, I was mostly right about the sun and beaches, but we did have to enter the zoo to see the Koala. That was one of my favourite activates we did during our time in Sydney. I was able to see and learn about Koala, and even able to take a selfie with them too! However, we were not permitted to hold them as interacted by the keeper. Apart from the Koala, we also managed to see the Kangaroos, and amongst other very interesting animals. Of course if one arrives in Sydney, one must see and visit the Sydney Opera House. After doing the most tourist full activities, we went and stroll around the city before having a boat trip dinner. It was a great place to see the Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge from day light to night light. With live music and delicious seafood, the night was made.
Throughout the many travels I have done, this one comes close to being my top destination. From the breath taking views to the different cultural experiences, this trip has opened my eyes. We started off the trip in Lijiang city, within the Yunnan Province of China. This city is situated at an elevation of 2,400m above sea level. Upon arrival to our hotel, we pass through streets that seem to be in the midst of trees and mountains. Once we arrived at the hotel, its was another world. Passing through the traditional Chinese styled building, I entered the garden where I saw the beautiful traditional folk dance performed by the locals. After resting, we ventured out to explore the old town of Lijiang. Here’s an interesting fact, did you know, that the architecture of the Japanese animated movie, “Spirited Away” was inspired by the buildings of the Old Town. Anyway, back to the old town. As we walked through the town, it was like the town has come alive with the night. Lights glows at every corner, restaurants, and shops were full of people, from tourist to locals. As the name suggest, all building within the old town are in traditional architecture, therefore, it makes you feel as though you have left the modern world and enter into the pass. Mykonos is one of the most beautiful places I have been so far! From the traditional white and blue buildings to the endless sunset over the water, it is a place of pure relaxation. Everyone there spreads the feeling of warmth and happiness that are just so welcoming! It has been a while since I have received such a big welcome on holiday from all the locals. To me, Mykonos was like a five star hotel, with friendly locals, beautiful architecture, amazing food, and lots to do, it’s truly above and beyond my expectation. Many hotels there are family owned and operated, and doesn’t have many rooms, but the personal services that they offer are, (dare I say it) even better than any other five star luxury hotels around the world.

If you are in Mykonos, how can I not mention the beaches! I was speechless when I first arrived on the beach! The golden warm sand on my feet, and the clear water reflecting the blue-sky cascading shades of blue on the water are simply breathtaking. There are some beaches that have sun beds, and somewhere you lay on the sand. There is a small charge to use the sun beds, but it is only 10 euros, and you are allowed to use it for the whole day! You are also able to order food and drinks to be delivered to you on your sun beds.

As mentioned before, people that are on the island are all very friendly. I have made so many new friends during my time on the islands from locals, to other travellers. People who are visiting the island would be from all around the world, all races, and sexuality, but all have one goal, is to relax and have a good time. Because people generally go for a few days and would go to the same beaches, you get to know them and becomes friends.
